Research by Dr. Don Huber at Purdue University has shown that when Glyphosate® is applied to Resistant® corn or soybeans several things happen that not many farmers are aware of. First, manganese within the plant is tied up and made unavailable to help the plant to resist disease. Then, within the next few days, Fusarium fungus begins to grow on and around the root system of the corn or soybean plant.
Both of these problems are now easy to correct. Prudent Presto foliar fertilizer with NUTROL will restore the lost manganese. While it feeds the plant, Prudent Presto will also kill Fusarium, along with diseases like Rhyzoctonia and Phytophthora. For the farmer, this means more bushels at harvest time. Best of all, Prudent Presto mixes well with all types of Glyfosate and does not require an extra trip across the field.
In conventional crops Prudent Presto will help prevent fungal diseases in the crop while it feeds the crop. Some common fungal diseases include, some stalk rots in corn, Pythium, Rhyzoctonia, Fusarium, Head scab in wheat, Gibberella in corn.

When making a PRESTO application always add an additional 1 pound of white crystalline sugar per acre to your spray solution. The sugar will give the plant a boost of energy and also be used to feed the beneficial bacteria that are found in the rhyzosphere.

As a result, the corn plant will experience protection from Pythium, Northern corn leaf blight, Rhyzoctonia, and Fusarium. PRUDENT PRESTO™ Gold Label as a liquid and the recommended use rate is one gallon per acre. It is available in 2.5 gallon jugs and 250 gallon shuttles. PRUDENT PRESTO™ Gold Label will also enhance the corn plants immune system and help it to resist disease. For a single application use 1 gallon per acre at V3 to V5. PRUDENT PRESTO™ Gold Label also works well when applied at tasseling time just ahead of pollen shed. PRUDENT PRESTO™ Gold Label was evaluated by Dr. Peter Thomison at The Ohio State University where yield increases of up to 23 bushels per acre were achieved with one application at V3. In AGRA Solution’s replicated testing, yield increases of up to 25 bushels per acre were achieved with one application at tasseling time. Determinant ear hybrids had the most significant yield increases (over 10 bushels) with a V3 application. Flex ear hybrids responded with large increases in yield (over 10 bushels) with an R1 application. PRUDENT PRESTO™ will increase plant health and at harvest time the mature plant will have cleaner leaves and be more intact than those plants in an untreated area.

In addition to supplying nutrition to the plant, the unique fertility components of PRUDENT PRESTO™ Red Label with NUTROL™, will also have fungicidal activity. As a result, the soybean plant will experience protection: Pythium, Phytophthora Root Rot, Rhyzoctonia, Fusarium, Downey Mildew, Powdery Mildew, along with a significant reduction in white mold. Within two weeks of application you will notice: increased branching, larger root system, elongated leaves, and a healthier plant than those found in an untreated area. PRUDENT PRESTO™ Red Label was tested by Dr. Jim Beuerlein at The Ohio State University, and yield increases of up to 8.2 bushels per acre were achieved with its use. PRUDENT PRESTO™ Red Label is formulated as a liquid and the application rate is 1 gallon per acre. It is available in 2.5 gallon jugs and 250 gallon shuttles. Applications can be made from V3 to R2. PRUDENT PRESTO™ works great when used with your in-crop application of herbicides, however the best yield increases have come when Prudent Presto is applied at V3. PRUDENT PRESTO™ contains both a non-ionic surfactant and an ionic surfactant and the use of any other surfactants or water conditioners is not recommended. If applying to Glyphosate tolerant soybeans it is not necessary to use ammonium sulfate. PRUDENT PRESTO™ Red Label will be rainfast within 2 hours of application. It is compatable with most herbicides. However, to be sure, a compatability test is recommended. PRUDENT PRESTO™ Red Label was tested by Dr. Jim Beuerlein at The Ohio State University, and yield increases of up to 8.2 bushels per acre were achieved with its use. In replicated trials average yields were increase by 4.6 bushels per acre when PRUDENT PRESTO™ Red Label was used. The most dramatic yield increases came in fields with a history of disease. PRUDENT PRESTO™ Red Label will replace the manganese that is stripped out of the plant when glyphosate is applied to Glyphosate tolerant soybeans. It also will reduce the increased levels of Fusarium that is found on the roots of glyphosate tolerant soybeans. Therefore, yield increases are achieved a high percentage of the time when PRUDENT PRESTO™ is used in a glyphosate weed control system and rainfall is normal.

HighPod is a a new product being developed by AGRA Solutions. It is a nitrogen rich solution that can be applied to the soybean plant at R5. At this stage the plant will have pods forming at the bottom of the plant and flowers at the top of the plant.
